Driving from Nevada to California

Today I had about eight hours pure driving time. Therefore I did just two extended stops, one at Mono Lake – a very peaceful place – and the other to enjoy sunset close to Yosemite National Park. There were some hours today, I could count all other cars and trucks I have seen with my ten fingers! But the day was not as boring as this may sound to you. Especially the second part of my route was very nice to drive, with winding pass routes and beautiful nature! After the first pass route I arrived in California. The welcome scenario included a check at the agricultural inspection station. As the Tiogo pass in the Yosemite Park was closed for the season, I had to drive about 100 additional miles, but the Senoro Pass was at least as nice as the other one would have been! Tonight and tomorrow I stay at a very nice place – the Yosemite Bug, a hostel close to the Yosemite National Park. There I will go tomorrow for a long hike…
