Death Valley
Today I got sauna for free… the temperature in death valley was well over 40°C in the shadow – and of course there was none! While walking in the sun I sweat and afterwards I cooled down in the air conditioned car. So, today I was very happy to have an air conditioned car, to have my new panama hat and to have bought enough water! On the first picture you can see that the bottom of Death Valley is beyond sea level. By the way, this picture I took especially for my flat mate Georg, who gave me this shirt before my trip. I promised him to wear it at a special location and taking a picture thereof.

Hey Florian
You finally are approaching California! I’m very astonished you found something like water and trees in the death valley. Better to carry some water to drink with you. 40° and straight in the sun sounds pretty hot and contrast to the snow in Flagstaff. What’s the next surprise?
